James Semakkade
James is a graduate of the University of Delhi, India, where he received both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in commerce. His professional career began as an accountant with African Evangelistic Enterprise in Kenya. He later moved to Uganda and established Nile Vocational Institute. He has worked as a consultant in the areas of marketing and management for major and multi-national companies, and has served as chairman of the Uganda Red Cross-Jinja Branch, and FINCA Uganda and Uganda National Farmer’s Association.

Alejandro Jakubowicz
Mr. Alejandro Jakubowicz is a seasoned executive with 29 years of banking experience. Mr. Jakubowicz most recently served as the FINCA Deputy Regional Director for Africa and the CEO of FINCA DR Congo, the largest microfinance institution in the Democratic Republic of Congo. He has also held leadership roles for Citibank in Latin America and was a former board member of Visa Argentina. Prior to becoming the Acting CEO for FINCA Uganda, Alejandro was the Deputy Regional Director for FINCA Africa Region.

Kingsley Okezie Ukoh
Kingsley has over twenty (20) years post certification work experience spanning through auditing, financial control, treasury management and credit risk management. Prior to joining FINCA Microfinance Bank Ltd as Chief Finance Officer in 2016, he was Deputy Chief Finance Officer and Head of Financial Control at BGL PLC. He has strong skillsets in finance, strategy and operations with track record of growing revenue and optimizing earnings through operational efficiency and increased productivity.
Kingsley started his career at Parker Randall Offor, a firm of chartered accountants, where he developed his auditing and tax management skills and rose to Audit Senior before he joined Coscharis group. At Coscharis group, Kingsley was an Assistant Manager (finance & accounts) in charge of branch accounting, tax management and financial reporting.
He left Coscharis for the banking industry and worked at Hallmark Bank now Ecobank Nigeria, Fidelity Bank and Zenith Bank. During this period he developed strong credit risk management, budgeting, treasury management, leadership and financial reporting skillsets.
Kingsley is a graduate of accounting from Federal Polytechnic Nekede Owerri and an associate member of Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN), Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers and Microfinance Certified Bankers (MCIB). He is also a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) and holds MBA (Finance) Degree from University of Wales UK.

Genevieve Mbama is a finance expert, technology and digital strategist, enterprise transformer and business developer with 20 years’ experience in strategy creation and execution, enterprise innovation and digital transformation. Until recently, Ms. Mbama was a Director, Customer Strategy and Insight of Oracle Insight, Oracle EMEA focused on delivery of strategic value services across Sub-Saharan Africa. She had worked with a leading Nigeria Bank in Corporate Banking and as Head of Financial Management. Ms. Mbama started her career with Arthur Andersen and later KPMG Professional services where she spent 8 years leading and managing engagements in Nigeria and West Africa. Ms. Mbama is a certified Chartered Accountant, a Sloan Fellow and MBA graduate from MIT Sloan School of Management, Cambridge Massachusetts, USA. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and Statistics from University of Benin, Nigeria, as the best graduating student and a Federal Government Scholar.

Edward Greenwood

Edward Greenwood
Mr. Greenwood has prior experience as CEO with five FINCA subsidiaries of which three were green-field operations. He has managed through two transformed credit only financial institutions into regulated credit and deposit taking entities requiring comprehensive process reengineering for back office functions and significant change management impacting organizational wide behavior and brand positioning and differentiation. He also successfully introduced an agent network in the DRC subsidiary whereby after one year more than 30% of all bank transactions were through the agent network. Mr. Greenwood has a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Fairfield University, USA and an MBA in International Business from Fairfield University, USA.

Adekunle Adewale

Adekunle Adewale
Adekunle Adewale is a lawyer with over 10 years’ experience advising financial institutions, multilateral agencies and general corporate entities in the areas of Banking and Finance, General Corporate and Commercial Law, Litigation and Corporate Governance.
Adekunle as the Head of Legal and Company Secretary for FINCA Microfinance Bank Limited is a member of the Management Board charged with overseeing FINCA Microfinance Bank’s legal operations and corporate governance. He acts as Secretary to the Board Governance and Nominating Committee; Board Risk Management & Audit Committee; and Board Credit Committee.
Prior to joining FINCA, he worked in Banking & Finance and Litigation units of the law firm of Jackson, Etti
& Edu in Lagos. He also worked at Chief Oluseyi Oyebolu & Co, Nora Chambers in Enugu and lectured at the Nigeria Police College, Enugu where he taught Law of Evidence, Criminal Law and Criminal Law Procedure.
Adekunle Adewale holds a Bachelor (LL.B) and Master of Laws (LLM) degrees from the University of Lagos. He obtained a Certificate of Call to the Nigerian Bar (BL) from the Nigerian Law School and is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association. He is also a Microfinance Certified Banker (MCIB) as well as a Registered Professional with the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria (FRC).

Anthony Chinasa Nwosu
Anthony is the Head of Risk Management and Chief Compliance Officer for FINCA Microfinance Bank limited.
Prior to joining FINCA, Anthony was the Head of Internal Control of Vantage Microfinance bank Limited, Owerri. He started his career with Dal Trade Nigeria Limited as an Account officer and rose to the position of the Branch Accountant. He later joined Fortis Microfinance bank as the Resident Internal Control Officer where he acquired a lot of experience and skills on Credit and lending methodology.
Anthony joined FINCA as Risk and Compliance Officer, and having distinguished himself in a very short while, rose to the position of Risk and Compliance Supervisor, and afterwards the Head of Risk and Chief Compliance Officer overseeing the entire department.
Anthony has a bachelor’s degree in Accounting obtained from Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka. He is Professional of the Institute of Operational Risk – UK, a certified Microfinance banker (MCIB) of Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN) and student member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN).

Abiola Onakomaya
Abiola Onakomaya is the Head of Credit in FINCA Microfinance Bank Limited. He joined FINCA with over 10 years of experience in microfinance banking and a specialization in credit administration. Abiola has a track record of proven outstanding work as a result of his wealth of experience in all areas of microfinance, Debt Recovery, Credit Administration, Business Development and Performance Management.
Abiola started his career with Accion Microfinance Bank as a loan officer where he acquired the required skills for Credit Administration, Business Development and Debt recovery and rose through the ranks to the position of Branch Manager and later Product Analyst with strategic focus on Product Development and Management, Customer Experience, Business Development and Marketing Strategy.
Abiola holds a Bachelor’s degree in Banking and Finance from Olabisi Onabanjo University and is currently pursuing a Masters in Finance from University of Lagos. He is an Associate (ACIB) and Microfinance Certified Banker (MCIB) of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN). He holds other certifications in Business Development from Development Alternatives Resource Centre (DARC) and in Entrepreneurship Development from Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN).

Maureen Nwankwo

Maureen Nwankwo acts as the Head of Human Resources for FINCA Microfinance Bank Limited. Maureen is a results-oriented Human Resources professional and Strategic Business Partner with experience in Change Management, Recruitment & Employment Management, Talent & Leadership Development, Compensation & Benefits, Reward Management, Succession Planning, Expatriate Programs, Staff engagement & welfare and Performance Evaluation Management.
Prior to joining FINCA, she worked with MTN Nigeria as an online Customer Representative with focus on complaint resolution and capacity development and Diamond Bank (now Access Bank PLC) in banking operations. While in FINCA Maureen grew from Human Resources Officer to Team Lead, Human Resources operations before assuming the role of Acting Head of Human Resources.
Maureen holds a B.Tech. degree in Project Management from Federal University of Technology Owerri and a Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resources from Chartered Institute of Personnel Management. She is an Associate member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM).

Chigozie Innocent Obioha

Chigozie Innocent Obioha
In his capacity as Head, Banking Operations of FINCA Microfinance bank, Chigozie manages the entire FINCA Microfinance Bank Limited’s Banking Services delivery of quality and affordable financial services which include various loans product, savings and deposits, and other related services.
He is also involved in cross-functional workgroups within the FINCA network and supporting all banking operations, including e-Banking.
Chigozie is a seasoned Banker and Financial Operations professional with discipline in Business Administrations and Management, and Accounting from the Federal Polytechnic, Nekede, Owerri, Imo State, and Lagos State University respectively; he is also an associate member of reputable institutes in Nigeria such as the Institute of Chartered Accountant of Nigeria (ACA), Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (ACTI), and Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN). He is also a M.Sc. in Business Administration candidate (M.Sc. Research Work). He is also a Certified Microfinance Bank Practitioner (MCPE).

Michael Emeagi

Michael Emeagi
Michael Emeagi has over eight (8) years’ experience in real estate, oil and gas, Contract management, procurement and vendor relationship management and facility management.
Michael Emeagi joined FINCA as Facility and Procurement Supervisor and currently is the Head of Administration Services. Prior to joining FINCA, he worked with Daltex Nigeria Ltd as a Service Engineer, where he mastered installation and maintenance of electronic security systems before he joined Global fleets Oil and Gas Ltd, a downstream oil and gas firm where acquired facility maintenance, administrative services and contract management in the oil and gas industry.
He left Global Fleets Oil and Gas Ltd to Cadwell Nigeria Ltd,a real estate firm, where he developed his facilities, maintenance, procurement, contract management and vendor relationship skills. At Cadwell, he managed the company’s estate including service apartments for expatriates, companies and individuals.
He is a graduate of Electrical and Electronics Engineering with Communication option from Federal University of Technology, Owerri, Imo State and holds an MSc in Financial Engineering from WorldQuant University.

DESMOND ONYEAGHALA

Desmond Onyeaghala
Desmond Onyeaghala is the acting head of information services for FINCA Nigeria. He joined FINCA Nigeria with over 10 years’ experience in the Microfinance sub-sector and financial services inclusion with bias in information technology, cyber security and business process automation. He started his banking career as the head of Information Technology with OCHE Microfinance where he transformed the bank from start-up to a full grown state of the art information technology structures. He moved to HASAL Micro Finance bank as the Head of System and Network administration and the key support contact for e-banking business and digital finance unit of the bank. He spare headed the implementation of several digital trans-formative projects like the successful migration of the core banking application software to a web based application, integration of USSD to interswitch platform, NIP NIBSS integration, and the development of internet banking App while in HASAL.
Desmond is a graduate of Computer Science from Federal Polytechnic Nekede Owerri and a Certified Web application Developer (CIW), IBN certified cyber security experts (ICSE), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) and associate Member of Computer Professional Registration Council of Nigeria(CPN).

Kennedy Ohakwume has more than 10 years of work experience in the Nigeria banking industry and as the Ag. Head of Digital Banking of FINCA Nigeria he takes the lead in FINCA 2.0 – strategically driving digitization of the institution products and processes executed through its core function of digital product management, innovation, improved performance management and customer relationship strategy through digital channels. He has also held other positions at FINCA Nigeria, including Branch Operations Supervisor and Branch Manager respectively. Before joining FINCA Nigeria, he worked in Union Bank, Stanbic IBTC, Keystone Bank.
He holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from the Federal University of Technology, Owerri.

POLYCARP EBIRIM

Polycarp is a Governance, Risk Management and Compliance (GRC) professional with over fifteen (15) years’ experience in Banking Operations, Internal Control, Internal Audit, Compliance and Risk Management in Banking and Microfinance sectors of Nigerian economy.
Prior to joining FINCA Microfinance Bank Nigeria, he has worked in these capacities in Broad Bank Nigeria Limited (now Union Bank), Diamond Bank Plc (now Access Bank Plc) Oceanic Bank International Plc (now Ecobank), Chikum Microfinance Bank Limited and Onima Microfinance Bank Limited.
Polycarp as the Corporate Audit Manager and Head Internal Audit provides leadership, mentorship and direction to the Internal Audit Department in achieving its goals and objectives and assurance to the Board Audit Committee on the effectiveness and efficiency of Governance, Risk Management and Compliance processes of FINCA Nigeria.
He holds a Bachelor of Technology, Second Class Upper Division in Mathematics and Computer Science from Federal University of Technology, Owerri. He is a Chartered Accountant (ACA), a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), a Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) and a Microfinance Certified Banker (MCIB).
